March Newsletter

Fun things are happening! February was an exciting month as we had a Super Bowl party and a Building Fund Bingo. Both events were amazing, and it was great to see everyone having a good time. Sunday, March 6th, was the Vitalant blood drive, and it was a success. Seventeen pints of blood were collected. Thank you to everyone who donated. If you missed this one there will be another July 10th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m..

We have a new committee starting that will focus on the history of Los Alamos. The first meeting will be held at the club on March 10th, at 6:30 p.m.. If you have an interest in local history, or have local history you can share, then please attend. We could use your help! There are many good ideas we would like to see come to fruition.

The first Membership Committee meeting was held at the club. Several great ideas were suggested for how to increase our membership. Keep an eye out for some new incentives, and new friends joining us! The committee chairperson is Zach Perron. If you have any questions or would like to participate, reach out to him.

The first Old Days Planning Committee meeting was held March 1st at the club. The basic event schedule for the three-day weekend was discussed. Committee chairpersons were assigned, and new ideas were tossed around. The next meeting will be held April 4th, at 6 p.m., at the club. There are still five committees that do not have a leader. If you can help in any way, please join us in April.

Our next Cook Your Own event will be held at the club on March 25th. The bar will be open from 5 to 11. Dinner is from 6 to 10. Music will be provided by Richard Diaz and Tony Martinez, from 7 to 11. Everyone is welcome! There will be a kid’s area, with a movie and popcorn provided. Dinner is $20.00 presale, and $25.00 at the door. Kids get a free hotdog! There will also be a fish choice available. Call Anita 805-868-9550 or Kim 805-350-1815 for tickets. If you bring a friend, and the friend joins the club as a member, you will be placed in a drawing for a free drink (bar) card. Refer a friend, and it could pay off!
